The Siglap PC actually goes around the Kembangan PC. The route only include part of the Siglap PC. Right in front of the MRT is a small garden. This Gardenia jasminoide
Beyond the garden, it is quite barren. But if you look down, you can find this Youngia japonica.
An even smaller flower is found here also Hedyotis corymbosa. It is so small that the flower is just a dot.
Similarly the crawler Chamaesyce hirta is just a small plant on the floor.
And to add to the small world this Lindernia crustacea is so small that all my pictures on this flower is not clear. It is about this time that I was wondering whether my Nikon is limited in its ability. But, cheap thing don't come good. You pay for what you get.
Finally, there is hope in the horizon. I get to see a larger flower like Duranta sp 'White Lace'.
A nicer looking Gardenia jasminoide
A pure white version of Thunbergia laurifolia is also found growing from a private housing fence.
But, still, I cannot ignore the small Ruellia repens that grows on the ground.
A Butterfly Pea flower is simply too nice to ignore. It also grows from private house fence.
A slightly damaged mushroom grows here. Like trees, it is very hard to find the name for it.
This Russelia equisetifo
The Firecracker plant also grows among it.
Forget-Me-
Besides it you can find this Orange Jasmine.
A nice tree that have branches arranged indistinct layers is this Dwarf geometry tree. It is a variegated plant.
I really feel sorry for this White Costus. Its leaves are raided by insects.
Outside the park, you can see this tall Trumpet tree. Its white flower is big and is low enough for me to take a picture.
This Obscure Morning Glory grows on a fence. I wonder why it is called "obscure".
This Penang Sloe is also low enough to take picture.
The Thai Pea Eggplant is also a climber. You can see an egg (the fruit) behind the flowers.
The nice yellow Golden Trumpet grows along the PC too.
A surprise find is this Passion flower (Wild Water Lemon). It actually grows among the Golden Trumpet.
Pinwheel Jasmine is really nice to look at from near.
The Susoh Ayam looks like Gardenia flower. Although I have a close zoom picture, this one look fresh enough. The rest show signs of decay already.
By now, the route turns into East Coast Rd. Just around the corner, this White Cedar tree grows beautifully.
Three types of Egyptian Star Cluster grows in front of a private house. The first one is pinkish. The center one is bright red and the last pure white.
A potted Wax mallow grows like half dead. No wonder its other name is called Sleepy Hibiscus.
The Frangipani tree flower is hanging low.
I am not sure if this metal face sculpture is from the private house or NParks.
To complement the metal face two faces carved on a dead tree trunk looks nice also.
Right in between the two is this large rock.
Two very nice potted flower is found behind trash bins what a way to hide such beauty. Unfortunately, I can't find its name.
This False Heather grows on the floor. It is a small flower.
This potted flower in front of a bar is super beautiful. It has very dark green leaves. I had to take half a dozen pictures just to get this one right. It looked like Chrysanthemum ball but its leaf don't look like one. I zoomed in closely and discovered that the flower is not real. It is made of woven cloth.
After this point is the Siglap Linear PK. It is a PCN path that cuts through private housings.
This Ixora dwarf white grows along the pk.
The pinkish and orange color Moss Rose is known since I am young.
Singapore Rhododendr
Along the path there are a number of shades that is covered with Laurel-lea
Almost at the end of the PK, the rain caught up. It rained heavily. Fortunately, there are shop houses at this corner. To my surprise, there are some potted flowers that is found while I am waiting for the rain to stop.
It is the first time I saw this variegated Crown of thorns.
This Slipper Flower have zig zaz stems.
Took this Bougainvil lea Buttiana 'Madonna' while the rain is still falling.
The PK ends in the middle of nowhere. From the map, I go on pedestrian path at Swan Lake Ave, turn right into Jln Terang Bulan, turn left when I saw a side lane that leads to the New Upper Changi Rd.
I though that would be the last flower picture for the day. I am wrong. This small Lavender Sorrel grows along New Upper Changi Rd.
So is this Skyflower.
This Gomphrena Weed growing on a pedestrian island is so cute. I drew quite some attention from drivers when I took the picture of the flower.
This mushroom looked just like a cup. It is even filled with the rain water. Two other mushrooms were found along the way quite close to each other. Since I can't find their names, I just show this one.
By this time, I am already very close to Bedok MRT. Its time I call it a day.
