The access of that section of new PCN can be via the West Coast Park via a path behind the West Coast Dog Park towards the Harbour Drive. After a ride of about 20~30 meters on a "narrow" pavement, marked bike lanes can be seen behind the fruit/vegetable wholesale centre along the Harbour Drive connected with the Pasir Panjang Park where the new section of PCN is located. The PCN continues up to te compound of the Pasir Panjang Distripark then out to Pasir Panjang Road where the MOE Labrador Outdoor Adventure Centre is located. Near my home, a cycling path has been built very recently, it's a small segment around a new condo called Affinity. There is already signage, it's officially open. You should follow the footpath all the way till the junction and cross the road before the junction instead of cross the junction then go back to the PCN. PCN are not standardised, there is actually no common definition of PCN. PCN is not managed by LTA. It is managed by NParks. You will be surprised at how many PCN did not cater fully to cyclists. Even pedestrians have a hard time finding the correct path. Regarding Jalan Kayu, I rode there a few minutes ago, and I recorded a video along the entire stretch that I marked in red on my map. You can see my findings here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QVHlKraUiN196vbttiAerg7_C9mJt9O8/view?usp=sharing I indicated the starting point of the video as well as the finishing point on Google Maps. From my findings, on that stretch, I wasn't able to locate any segment of actual PCN - as per the common definition of PCN (4 meters wide minimum, clear PCN markings on roads, etc.). I am happy to investigate further if you should request it, as I happen to live nearby. The distinction between footpath and PCN is quite important to me as I occasionally ride PABs and PMDs. If I wasn't paying attention and was riding on that footpath with my PMDs, I would be at risk of a hefty fine (or worse in case of accident - jail). I am going to be writing to LTA to inquire why this stretch is marked as PCN on their maps, whereas I couldn't locate any proper PCN there. Either this could be an overlook, or they may have a logical explanation. Should they provide an interesting reply, I will update you.Clément Nedelcuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00168228978102132365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9558116.post-55263418862550405782023-03-20T10:25:46.303+08:002023-03-20T10:25:46.303+08:00Thank you.
